Problem With Front Axle….?!?

Hello all, I’ve got a 99 Fiat Bravo HLX 100.
Last night, I noticed that the car was dragging to the right a little and in order to go straight I would have to hold the steering wheel at an angle of 30* (relative to normal “resting” position of steering wheel) to the left.
Today, it got worse. When braking, it felt as if there was a little stone in between the brakepad and brakedisc. Then, whenever I went around a right bend, there was a squealing noise coming from the tyre (much like a screech when skidding).
Arrived home and examined. The wheel was at a funny angle (leaning slightly but noticeably into the wheel arch). Jacked car up and wheel was quite steady, no rattle or shake. Noticed that it seemed to have been touching against the back of the wheel arch whilst driving (well whilst braking really). Removed jack and wheel was aligned perfectly vertical. Drove round the back to park and at wheel is at a funny angle again.
The wheel in question is the front driver’s side one by the way.
Any idea, what the problem could be and/or how much it will cost to get it fixed?
I’m really a layman when it comes to cars but I checked the obvious such as tyre-pressure & bolts.
Cheers.
