I Hit A Curb Tonight And Now The Car Isn’t Driving Right. What’s Wrong?
I skidded into a curb at ~5 – 10mph. I hit it pretty good. Anyway, the wheel cover got scraped and cracked a bit. When I started driving again, the car was riding very strange. I was skidding all over the place, and the braking was really bad. I didn’t have much control of the car. The steering wheel was at like a 15 degree angle to the right and the car was going straight. It was the front driver side tire that I hit. Then, my electronic stability control light came on and said “ESC Off”. The car was just riding very funny, like when I hit the gas, it wasn’t really grabbing right.
Of course, it was snowy and maybe it will be slightly better on drier surfaces, but something is definitely off. I got towed back to my house because the car felt so unstable driving, especially in the snow.
I drive a 2008 Hyundai Sonata. Any ideas of what the possible damage is? Does it sound like more than an alignment?
Thanks.
